    Light travels at constant c, or perhaps it doesn't.

    Now, let's see why the speed of light is important in time travel then, since you want to go on about that again.

    Isn't light something that only our eyes use to discern objects? I'm sure you won't agree with the usual interpretation that sunlight takes 8 minutes to reach Earth from the Sun, since you don't believe that it takes 365 ish days to travel around it, but for the sake of arguement let's say that it does take 8 minutes or so.

    What does that have to do with travel of anything else - like my body for example? I'm not made of photons I'm made of atoms and other stuff, the speed of light is only going to affect what I will be able to see - if you travelled faster than light, it would affect what you are looking at in terms of how you are able to perceieve it.

    Mass - like a planet, does it matter how long it takes light to reach it and illuminate it for seeing eyed creatures to observe? ( I won't get into heat just now since it's not exactly the same ).
